Delta Concrete builds concrete slabs and pads in Calgary, starting from the ground up. Our background is excavation, so we prepare the subgrade and base ourselves before the concrete goes down.
Concrete Slab Installation
A slab is a flat concrete element placed directly on prepared ground. It can be a floor inside a building, a garage floor, or a pad that supports equipment or a structure. Each type has its own thickness, reinforcement, and finish requirements, set by plans or discussed during quoting.

Residential Concrete Slabs
On residential projects we build slabs such as basement floors, garage floors, and pads tied into new construction or renovations. We review the plans, access to the area, and what the slab needs to support before confirming the scope.
Commercial Concrete Slabs
For commercial scopes we take on slab work where it fits our crew and equipment, working from engineered drawings and coordinating with the general contractor on schedule and site logistics. Large or specialized industrial floors are discussed case by case.
Concrete Pads
Concrete pads are smaller slabs built for a specific purpose—a base for a shed, mechanical equipment, or an outbuilding. Size, load, and location determine how the pad and its base are prepared.
Site Preparation for Concrete Slabs
A slab is only as stable as the ground underneath it. Soft spots, organic soil, or poorly compacted fill can lead to settlement and cracking regardless of how well the concrete is finished.
This is where our excavation work matters. We strip unsuitable material, bring the area to the required elevation, and place and compact base material as specified, using the same equipment and crew we use for site preparation on larger projects.
